Spiritual Warfare
For the religious practice, see Spiritual warfareSpiritual Warfare is an unlicensed game for the
Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by
Color Dreams and released through its
Wisdom Tree label in
1992. A
SEGA Genesis version was released in 1994. It is a religious-themed game heavily influenced by
The Legend of Zelda.
The player controls a young
Christian whose town has been infested with demons, which he must now purify and convert the denizens to Christianity by throwing fruit at them. Strewn about the town are different weapons, entitled Fruit of the Spirit, which the player may use to defeat enemies, as well as some other items to aid in his quest such as the Armor of God.
Areas of the game include a park, city streets, an airport, and a prison, which sits upon the Demon Stronghold, the final level.
As of July 2005, it is the only NES game still being sold by Wisdom Tree. The game was originally released in 1992.
Although not commonly realised to be, this game was also ported to the PC, and was available on 3 1/2" and 5 1/4" floppy diskettes.
