Westerfield

Westerfield is a village in Suffolk, England. It is located approximately two miles north of the centre of Ipswich. The village is served by Westerfield railway station on the Ipswich-Lowestoft East Suffolk Line.

One of Westerfield's leading locals is John Baker. This well respected man is responsible for the welfare of the village as well as community related projects concerning Westerfield. One of his jobs is collecting and recycling aluminium cans, for which his extended family are most proud.

Baker has appeared in recent local news reports on the controversial use of pesticides in fields surrounding Westerfield. He has claimed that the usage of certain pesticides are harmful to humans as he himself has experienced the negative effects of such pesticide use.

Westerfield is home to two public houses. The Swan in Northern Westerfield, and The Railway in the South of the village. Both serve food and are significant in bringing the community together.

In central Westerfield is the village green, which is part of the church grounds. The village green hosts annual raves for the locals as well as other communal "do's".

The population of Westerfield currently stands at around 200.
