WIND

This article is about the WIND spacecraft. For the radio station, see WIND (AM).

WIND (SOLARWIND) was a NASA spacecraft launched in November 1994. It was deployed to study radio and plasma that occur in solar wind, in the Earth's magnetosphere.

Its spacecraft's original mission was to orbit the Sun at the L1 Lagrangian point, but this was changed when the SOHO spacecraft was sent to the same location.
