Zanjeer

Zanjeer (Hindi) (English: Shackles), is a film from India starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan (his real-life wife), Pran and Ajit. The movie changed the trend from romantic films to action films and pioneered Amitabh's new image of a brooding but explosive person who fights back when cornered.

Plot summary

The world erodes around Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan), an honest police officer. He is jailed for 6 months on false charges, trapped by gang leader Teja (Ajit). When Vijay is released from jail, he plans to take revenge. . .
