Question
if i passed out flyers at school without permission should i get suspended for 10 days. Why or Why not?

Answer
Hi Nikk,

Schools have some right to maintain order in a school.  It would really depend on the circumstances.  In many cases, schools do go beyond what is allowed under the First Amendment.  If this has happened to you, you might want to consider contacting the ACLU or some similar organization so that they can evaluate your case.

Univ. of Virginia, in which the Supreme Court upheld my clients' right to run a student newspaper without discrimination because of its religious conent. I also worked on White v. Julian, which protected the right of people to protest against a homeless shelter in their neighborhood.

I also worked for the Federal Election Commission on several cases regarding the right to participate in the election process.
