Office 2010/Outlook Address book

Question
I use Outlook 2002, still, however i believe my question applies to the current version as well.

Outlook seems to keep track of email addresses that I don't enter into my address book, or of ones deleted.

When I type people's names in the "TO:" field, it offers me the names that correspond to who I'm typing. Sometimes I can't differentiate which is the correct one I want to use.

I'd like to know how I can locate and either delete or modify those addesses in this Ghoast directory somewhere. Can you tell me where to find it?

Thanks so much, in advance, for your input.

Answer
Jim,

To fix this problem, there are two ways around this. The easiest way is this:

~Start typing in the address that shows up incorrectly.
~Hit the Down arrow key to select the auto completed address.
~Hit the Delete key to delete the auto complete address

The other way is by opening the profile folder and deleting the .nk2 file.

~Open up windows explorer, and paste the following into the address bar:
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook
~Delete the Outlook.NK2 file that you find in this folder.

Hope this helps.
