Question
Dear Ms. Lindsey,

Is there any way to convert a PDF file into a word document or a document that can be manipulated?

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,

Pablo Durissimo

Answer
Hello Pablo,

Thanks for your question.  Yes there is a way to convert a Pdf onto a document you can revise.

1.  Select all of the text in Adobe, then right-click the text and copy, next open a Word document and paste the copied text.  Please note that the formatting will not follow into the Word file.

Or

2.  With the document open in Adobe, search for and invoke the Recognize Text feature.  When complete you will be able to copy and paste the text from Adobe to Word.

Or

3.  Using a third party tool that allows you to OCR (optical character recognition) the text in Adobe and copy the results to Word.

Hope one of these options help with your project.

Best,

Mary Lindsey
