Question "World War I marked the end of an era of optimism which was based on the belief that science and technology would continue to improve the lives of the earth's population" do you agree with this statement? what was the political and cultural impact of the war on the development of the following countries??
The United States
Germany
India.
Thanks for your insights to this.
Answer Ahmed,
I do not agree with that statement. I don't think the era ended, I just think people became less excited about it. AS for your second question there was many different impacts. In the United States for example everything became higher priced. And the people were could not afford the things they were used to. As for Germany, during this era, it would of taken an enitre wheelbarrow full of german marks (coins) to buy one loaf of bread. That says it all. Sadly, I know nothing about the impact of the war on India. I apologize.
