Question
Hello,
This year, I have joined the Model United Nations (MUN) where every school has to represent a country. My school is representing Japan.
Can you please help me find the current allies of Japan? and if the countries you are expertized  in are allies of Japan?
Thank you

Answer
Hello

I would say that as far as I am aware, Japan is on friendly basis with every country. Since the second world war when Japan was enemies with many countries such as the US, UK, France, Russia and allied powers. But since WW2 Japan has concentrated on rebuilding and is now seen as one of the leading economies of the world. Their main aim seems to be to advance and become a leading country through technology and efficiency. If there is one thing that Japan has strained relations about it would be their policy on whaling, this is seen in many countries as being barbaric, but because of international trade is so valuable, countries don't go far as to break off relations with Japan.

I hope this helps you

Kind regards
Ben
