OK, I am getting ready to send in NYS CCW request #2. On a side bar, since I have a non-resident VA license, I could legally go to VA and purchase a handgun and transport it in my trunk back to NY and keep in my home...correct? Also, with my CRD am I allowed to purchase a rifle for hunting in NYS? Thank you.
No, you cant buy weapons in VA unless you are a resident of VA. A Government ID card with a VA address along with your permit is good.
Your non resident permit allows you to carry in VA and reciprical states.
You can buy a rifle yes. Hunting Im not sure.
