Question
My son has been convicted of manufacturing drugs.  This was approximatly 6 years ago.  What does he have to do to get his right to bear arms back.  He is a hunter and has sons he wants to teach to hunt.  We live in Iowa.

A conviction for the manufacture drugs is a very serious charge, whether it was six years or 16 years ago. I think he's probably fortunate that he's already out of prison.

He's going to need to consult an Iowa attorney on this matter, and if he's on probation or parole, his Department of Corrections case officer as well.
