2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/right to bear arms

Question
Don,

I was convicted of a felony possession of drugs way back in 1988 in the state
of Wisconsin. I used to enjoy hunting with friends and family and have always
longed to be able to buy and use hunting guns again. I have never been in
trouble with the law since then and would like some help in possibly
obtaining my gun rights again. What is your advice and can you help.

Steve

Answer
Hi Steve,

Since I am not an attorney in the state of Wisconsin I first recommend that you contact legal help.

Now I will provide some suggestions on the questions that you may want to ask:

Does Wisconsin offer pardons for past felony convictions?

If so what is the process to restore my 2nd amendment right?

FYI: Federal Laws state that felons my not own or possess firearms. It really would be in your best interest if you want to buy guns and hunt, to attempt to get a pardon.

Thanks and good luck.
