Question
Hello i have a current NYS pistol permit as of my knowledge i have no restrictions like just target practice Etc.  I just have a personal one not Business.  My question is how do i conceal it do i have to by law keep it under article of clothing or can i just go about it regularly on my side (visible to the human eye)

Answer
The license to carry in New York State is a concealed carry license only. There is no provision for "open carry" in the law, so you cannot leave it visible. You must keep the handgun entirely concealed. The law does not specify how you must do this, but common methods that should comply with the law include having it completely covered by one's clothing, or in some kind of non-transparent case or container like a handbag or briefcase.
