2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/Felony traffic/firearm

Question
I was plead guilty and was convicted for felony vehicular eluding (along with a dui) in Colorado.  I did my community service and finished my two years probation.  I  was told that my civil rights were automatically restored.  I registered to vote and that went okay, can I purchase and possess a firearm?  It was a traffic crime and was non-violent.

Answer
Simon,

Thanks for asking me about this matter. If you were told that your rights were restored and you voted without problems, I would assume that you would be able to purchase and possess a firearm.

If you do not feel comfortable enough to go buy a firearm, then I recommend contacting your legal representative for assistance.
