Question
i am a convicted non-violent felon, how do i try to get my rights back to hunt with a shotgun?

Answer
You must apply for full restoration of rights in the state where you was convicted.  If your conviction was in NY and you did state time you can get a certificate of good conduct from the NYS Dept. of Parole.  Go to their website and download the application. If you did not do state time you must go through the Dept. of Probation for a Certificate of Relief from Disablities without firearm restrictions.
