Question
What other atates recognize NYS CC permit, if any?  Also, I travel to Tennessee alot for work, is there anything legally that I can do to carry with me. Thanks.

Answer
I don't maintain a database of states that recognize other state's licenses. That information is readily available on the web. It took me less than minute to find the answer by Googling the TN State Police web page:

http://www.state.tn.us/safety/handgun/reciprocity.htm

Not many states recognize New York licenses because New York does not recognize any other state's licenses. Tennessee does not recognize New York licenses.

You can check the TN state police website yourself to see if they issue non-resident licenses, but after only a quick check it does not look like they do. However, TN does recognize out-of-state licenses from some states that make it relatively easy to get a non-resident license, like New Hampshire and Florida. Those licenses are also recognized in many other states. So, look into getting a non-resident license from one of these other states. Go to their state police or department of public safety website (or, in the case of Florida, such licenses are issued by the Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services) and look for application information. Good luck to you.
