Question
My husband had a (nonviolent) federal felony conviction 20 years ago. Can I get a concealed weapons permit or am I not allowed to have a gun either, since we live in the same house. We live in Virginia.

Thanks

Answer
You can get a concealed weapons permit but you are not allowed to purchase any firearms because your husband lives with you.  It is illegal to have weapons around a convicted felon.  If he had a state conviction intead of Federal he would be able to apply for restoration of rights.

Good Luck
