2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/Felony in Indiana

Question
Sir, I live in Indiana and I have two theft felonies on my record.  (Both were for writing checks that were not mine to write during a bad period of gambling addiction.)  I was in the USMC, honorably discharged, I have never been involved with violence as far as the law goes, I was even a correctional Sergeant in the Indiana department of Corrections at one time.  I am a husband, home owner, father of three who had a bad stretch with gambling.  My question is this, I would like to go hunting, what do I need to do to accomplish this?  I do not want or need a handgun, I am talking about shotgun and maybe a .22 rifle for hunting purposes.  Please help me and thank you in advance for that help!

Answer
You have to apply for Indiana executive clemency or restoration of rights.  If you can't download the application online you will have to go to the courts where you was convicted and request the application for the parole or probation dept.  Try searching Indian executive clemency the Indiana restoration of rights you may be able to get an application online or get information.
