Question
QUESTION: I was living in colorado as a juvenile and then I moved to Nevada. I tried to buy a rifle and was denied because of the brady law. I looked into it through the highway patrol and they sent me a letter saying "This is to inform you that you have been denied the transfer of a firearm under the brady handgun violence prevention act. A background check was conducted using the information you provided on the federal form 4473. The results of our research indicate that you are prohibited from possesing a firearm for the following reason:   Have been convicted as a juvenile of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year. Per colorado state law, a presidential or governor's pardon is required to restore firearm rights.
What do I do to get my rights back?

ANSWER: You must at least get a Certificate of Relief from Disabilities or Executive Clemency according to Federal Law.   Some States like North Carolina, Utah and NH you must have a pardon, therefore; if your state requires you to have a full pardon and you have a Juvenile Conviction you must seek professional help from a Lawyer or just appeal the letter stating your conviction does not violate your firearm rights under Federal Law because you was a Juvenile.

QUESTION: How do I get a certificate of relief or executive clemency? Is there a phone number? Please and thank you

Answer
You may be able to download an application online just punch in your state of conviction and restoration of rights or executive clemency it should pop up with full instructions.  If not you have to return to the court that convicted you and request the application and instructions for restoration of rights. Only 2 States I know of that will offer firearm restoration of rights if you was convicted in another state and that is Florida and Virginia.  You must live in those States at the time of application.
