Question
I was convicted as a felon on forgery chrages in arkansas and georiga over 17 yrs ago and would like to get my rights restored . What is my best approach. I am back in the Military for 4 yrs now and my record is perfect. I would like to go WO and be able to purschase a hand gun again. How do I start?

Answer
Hello Ed,  You said your record is perfect I don't know what do you mean by that if you are saying you have a conviction of forgery in two states.  Anyway you must file with each state an application for restoration of rights.   You may be able to find the application online by typing in Georgia restoration of rights and the same for Arkansas.  Make sure you send them all the good things you been doing for the past 17 years include a copy of your military ID it helps.

Good Luck
