Question
Does the ownership of a FFL license & the owner of a sporting goods shop, that is a gun dealer, have the right to concealed carry in NJ? Are there any provisions in the State Laws?

Dear Joe,

Thank you for contacting me about this matter. I do not belive that New Jersey would allow FFL holders a CCW just because they are dealers. Most states do not, and you have to apply for a CCW permit like everyone else unless you are in law enforcement or retired from that field.

New Jersey is a very restrictive state but does issue CCW licenses to qualified residents. New Jersey also issues CCW licenses to honorably retired law enforcement officers who are residents.
