Hi Don i have a misdemeanor 2 for dui in pa i tried to get my pistol permit renewed and fail the Pa state police check i sent in for the reason they said it was the dui is there anything i can do to restore my rights to carry i also tried to buy a rifle and failed the instacheck system Thank you very much
A DWI is not a federal firearm ban, The State will not give you a permit if you have a DWI within 5 years. Every State has its own laws when it comes to DWI's. Go online and do a search for PA firearm laws. You can also get restoration of rights from your State by down loading an online application at PA restoration of rights / or PA Executive Clemency.
