Question
I want to get a gun for in my house. My husband who is 39 now is a convicted felon 20 years ago for drug possion. Will I ever be able to own a gun?

Answer
You can own a firearm because you are not a convicted felon, but you won't be able to keep it in the home that your husband lives in until he gets full restoration of rights in your home state or the state of conviction.
You can check your state restoration of rights online by doing a search under your state name and restoration of rights.  Some states have it under Executive Clemency as well.
