2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/Felony Ownership Muzzeloaders in Colorado?

Question
I pled guilty to a 2nd degree assault in 1992, in the state of Colorado.  I pled guilty, because I did, Indeed, beat the guy up.  I was sentenced to probation, and was discharged from probation in 1996.

I would like to own a muzzeloading rifle and shotgun for hunting.  The BATF does not care.  They don't recognize these muzzeloaders as firearms.

What about Colorado?  Colorado law does not seem to see a difference between "Firearms" and Muzzeloaders, BUT, there seems to be a 10 year period, after which you can posses a firearm.  So, now I have been off probation for 12 years, and have broken no laws.

Can I now buy my muzzeloaders and go to my happy hunting ground?

Answer
You said that Co. says 10 years after release from Supervision you can own a Muzzleloader then I guess you can.  I don't have any knowledge about Muzzleloaders.  But as far as a firearm is concerned you must have your firearm rights restored and receive a firearm permit.

Good Luck
