hi i was convicted of a felony grand theft personal property in 2000.did the time and got out on probation. violated that and was sent to prison.did 4 years of parole and now im off as of 1/11/08.i have a bow and am reay for my first bowhunt.i love hunting and would like to hunt with a muzzleloader.i dont want to do nothing to break the law.i have totally changed my life and am a responsible citizen.could you help me??

The only way you can hunt with a firearm is to have the felony conviction pardoned. Federal Law states the convicted felons may not own or possess firearms. I do not know if California offers pardons as an option or not. I am glad that you have changed your life and are now a responsible citizen.
