Question
Hi, I was arrested for D.V. in 99 and went to court on it and my pea was not guilty. the court accepted the plea and it was dismissed. but now i try to purchase a gun the store wouldn't sell it to me. I received the ntn number and did a voluntary appeal. witch they denied should i get a lawyer and can i bear arms or have i lost that?

Answer
If you are not convicted of a felony or a domestic violence misdemeanor you are not banned from owning a firearm.  You need to see what is showing up on your fingerprints.  You will have to get in touch with ATF or apply for a firearm permit.  If you had an appeal they had to give you some more detail information on your denial.
I don't know what D.V is...

Good Luck
