Question
QUESTION: I tried to get a gun on august 14,2008. The FBI said they didnt have enough info
and it would be a 3 day delay to get an answer from them, but the state denied
me. I am about to be 25 in a few days but when i was a juvenile (15) i got a
felony arson 1st degree i was tried as a juvenile. could this be the reason i got
denied for the gun?

ANSWER: Yes, it is the reason unless there is something else in your background.  You have to appeal their decision and they will overturn it because it was a Juvenile Conviction.  You are not restricted by Federal Law.

Good Luck

QUESTION: Thank you! No there is nothing else in my background. I just made a stupid mistack when i was a child. How would i go about the appeal? would I have to get a lawyer?

Answer
Go back to the dealer they handle all that.  They should have the paperwork.  You need to apply for a permit. That is the only sure way to pass the NICS check when you have any type of felony with restoration of rights or Juvenile conviction.
