Can i still purchase a hand gun or Shotgun?

Answer
It depends on that state laws,  According to the Federal Government you are not disqualified from owning a firearm but some States may not allow you to purchase a firearm until 5 years have gone since your DUI or DWI.  You have to find out California's gun law for DUI.
