Question
I am and always have been a resident of Indiana.  In 1996, I was convicted of 2 counts of reckless homicide.  I served my time and satisfied all of the courts orders.  I have been off probation and parole for 5 years.  I am 35 and an avid hunter.  Have been since I was 8 years old.  Is it possible for me to regain my right to bear arms?  How would I go about doing so?

Thank you,

Jack

Answer
I don't know about Indiana but I know a lot of states will not restore your firearm rights because your offenses.  You have to apply for Indiana restoration of rights with no restrictions.  Meaning when and if they restore your rights they cannot put that you can't own, possess or transport any firearm or weapons.  That will take some work especially with only 5 years since your release from any supervision.

Good Luck
