Question
My wife pleated guilty of embezzlement and will be sentenced soon. I own many
guns for sport and collection . The probation officer for my wife says the guns
have to be removed from the home once she is sentenced, is this true??  I am a
life member of the NRA , the guns are locked and only I have the keys to the
guns. thank you for your help in this matter.

Answer
Yes, you have to remove the weapons.  Being a member of the NRA has nothing to do with it.  A convicted felon cannot live in a home which has firearms in it rather locked or not.  That is grounds for you to be arrested and or having your firearms taken by local police or BATFE.  If she is being convicted in Federal court there is no way around it.  If it's a state conviction she can apply for restoration of rights as soon as she is released from all supervision.
