2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/Handgun purchase

Question
I recently attempted to purchase a pistol at a gun show in Arkansas.  When they called it in, it was not denied, but it was delayed.  I haven't heard from the gun dealer.  How can I check on this?  The only snag I cna think of was a felony possession conviction when I was 19, I am 51 now.  I got probation and the it was expunged many years ago.  Could this prevent me from being able to purchase a firearm?

Answer
You will have to appeal the denial and prove your conviction has been expunged.  Most states make it mandatory that any convicted felon who received any type of restoration of rights to obtain a firearm permit before they are allowed to possess or purchase a firearm.
