Question
Tried to purchase firearm, NICS said "denied." Contacted NICS for appeal and
the letter said I was a Fugitive From Justice. Took my passport, birth
certificate, drivers license to locale FBI field office. They looked at my letter
and all documents but said to contact the ATF. ATF said talk to FBI. Called
NICS and they will send me a finger print packet. How can I fix this error
quickly as I am charged "Storage Fee" on this firearm.

Answer
I am not sure what help I can offer you. It appears you are doing what you need to do to by calling NICS and working with them to establish your identity and that you are not a fugitive.  If you have any further questions about the procedure, contact FBI's NICS Appeals Services Unit at (304) 625-1903. Complete the packet and answer their questions to their satisfaction. I am not aware of a quicker way you can proceed. Good luck.
