Question
Hi Don - Still working on getting this permit. I obtained VA and I should be getting FL in a couple weeks. Although I have my CRD if you recall I got denied because I forgot to list a misdemeanor arrest on my application. So I have filled out all the new paperwork. I have also applied for a Certificate of Good Conduct. Although on my felony I only did probation, I have been told they will issue CGC's for a felony and any # of misdemeanors. I got a call from the office of parole for an interview and he just wants me to have a bio ready for him when we meet for the 15 minutes. Is there anything I should specify in there besides my background? Should I state in there I have my VA non-resident permit? Once this is done, If i get issued the CGC should I submit that and my CRD with my application? Alternatively, I could hire an attorney and give him all the stuff and let him see what he can do. your thoughts are appreciated.

Answer
As I anounced to you before that I had the interview for the CGC as well and was told I could receive it and was later explained in a letter that I had to receive State time in order to get a CGC.  If for some reason you do receive the CGC then it will replace the CRD.

If you have the means to obtain a Lawyer that is the best way to get your NYS firearm permit.  Judges love the fact that you support the Legal system.
