Question
I am a convicted felon for possession of stolen vehicle and one count of robbery. 10 years ago. no others what so ever since. can i bear arms ever in life? and what steps must i take to achieve the right to bear arms?

Answer
Joseph, this is a Second Amendment topic, not a Criminal Justice one -- how could you possibly have confused the two?

Additionally, you have captioned your inquiry, "Right to beararms" {sic}, but you lost that right to keep and bear arms when you became a convicted felon. And that's how it should be.

Talk to your attorney about obtaining relief from your civil disability.

I can answer questions about Handguns, Rifles, Ammunition, the Firearms Industry, the "gunzine game," practical accessories for self-defense (CCW) handguns; rumor control on firearms myths, errata on the "gunshop grapevine."

I am NOT an Attorney, and nothing I provide here should be relied upon as legal advice. Therefore, please do NOT make inquiries about Criminal Justice issues... this is the Second Amendment topic.

Nor do I do "Private Consultations." Want to made it "private," retain an attorney.
