Question
My question is this, 2 years ago I was 302'ed by the police and was wondering when if I could ever own a firearm again and also how would I go about doing so legally.  I was committed for attemped suicide and am fine now. I love shooting and would like to own my own gun again and start the hobby of gun collecting legally.  Thank you for your time.

Answer
Steven,

Thanks for asking,

Suicide is considered a mental condition, which will not be good for owning a gun. I recommend seeking legal help to see if your record can be expunged or pardoned. I am glad to know that you  love shooting, and wish you the best in that regard.
