I was denied from buying a hunting shotgun yesterday in Denver Co based on a DUI conviction that I received 28 years ago (1982). I pleaded guilty, went to eductation class and paid a fine and recevieved probabtion that I successfully completed. Is this rejection correct? Is there anything I can do about it?

Answer
Since the "experts" here serve pro bono publico, you cannot expect them to perform private consultations. For that you should see an attorney and pay the fee.

And while this is a Criminal Justice matter rather than a Second Amendment question, I will tell you that whatever you pled to 28 years ago… almost certainly a felony… you are "in the Criminal Justice system" as a prohibited person.
