Question
I live in Indiana, and was recently denied purchase of a firearm.  I was convicted of visiting a common nuisance in March.  I also had a possession of marijuana conviction 3 years ago.  How long do I have to wait before I can purchase a gun?  I do not have any violent crime convictions, have never been convicted of a felony, and I have had no mental health issues.  Will I ever be able to purchase a gun?  Or will I just have to wait a few years?

Of course you have mental health issues! You have at least two Criminal Convictions which you somehow think will "age off" the way a traffic ticket does for insurance purposes, and you're asking a Criminal Justice question in the Second Amendment category!

How can you assert with a straight face that "I have had no mental health issues?"

Now that we have that out of the way, you will need to consult an attorney in Indiana and see want can be done in the way of obtaining the Hoosier version of what we in New York know as a "Certificate of Relief from Disabilities." This would restore your Second Amendment rights.
