Question
i was convicted of 2 felony's in January of 2006, in Ohio.
i was a resident of Indiana so my probation was transferred to the county in which i lived. which state will i need to petition to attempt to have my gun rights restored? How long do i have to wait to petition, and who might i contact to inquire about this matter?

Answer
James,

Thanks for asking. Two felonies are quite serious. You need legal help to file to expunge your record or full pardon in order to restore your firearm rights. The felonies are a Federal offense too as Federal Firearm laws state that convicted felons may not own or possess firearms.

Best regards,

Dan
