Question
Can a person with no felonies and only a conviction of a misdemeanor attempt
assault charge use a certificate of relief of disabilities to acquire a job in Law
Enforcement. Jobs such as Correctional Officer, State Park Police, Court Officer,
or the various jobs in the Homeland Security Careers such as Border Patrol and
Customs, basically employment where firearms are carried.

Answer
CRD's are for felonies. They restore rights that were lost.  Misdemeanors do not take any rights away except for domestic violence misdemeanors.  Law Enforcement jobs will either pass or fail you at the oral board for a misdemeanor. They are not automatic disqualification.

You can try to have it expunged or request a pardon depends on what state you live in.
