Question
I was charged with unauthorized possession of and controlled substance and was recently released from probation Jan 15, 2009. I want to know after my probation officer complete the necessary paper work releasing me of all charges what will show on my background for employment purposes? Will I ever be able to apply for a fire arm license to legally carry a firearm?

Answer
Honestly, Jessica, where does it say that this is a Criminal Justice topic?

Please let me know so I can have it changed so I will stop getting there types of questions and get only Second Amendment ones!

First, seriously consider finishing school before doing anything else.

Second, go see an attorney in your area and ask him or her about your situation. I don't know what state you're in, or the nature of your court disposition.

It wouldn't matter anyhow because none of that relates to the Second Amendment… which is what this topic is about!

I can answer questions about Handguns, Rifles, Ammunition, the Firearms Industry, the "gunzine game," practical accessories for self-defense (CCW) handguns; rumor control on firearms myths, errata on the "gunshop grapevine."

I am NOT an Attorney, and nothing I provide here should be relied upon as legal advice. Therefore, please do NOT make inquiries about Criminal Justice issues... this is the Second Amendment topic.

Nor do I do "Private Consultations." Want to made it "private," retain an attorney.
