Question
i had a weapon of mass destruction(shotgun 25 in length)charge reduced to a assault by pointing gun conviction in nc.would this charge keep me from purchasing a firearm?i would like to find out before i went to buy?

Answer
You are restricted from possessing, owning or transporting any firearms in the State of NC until they decide to change their laws.  Anyone convicted of a felony in NC must receive a full pardon before they can carry in NC, restoration of rights in NC is not accepted for firearms.  Judging from your charge your chances of getting a pardon without restricting you from firearms are slim. But as of now that is the only process in NC.

Good Luck
