Question
I receive a UNDESIRABLE DISCHARGE from the army in May of 1969.since then I serve on four jury duty and I have never been arrested.
 I took the gun permit class here in Memphis,Tn.Whern i applied for my permit,I was turn down because of my discharge.This happen over eight years ago.I been trying to find out every since then what I can to to obtain a gun permit here in Memphis ,tn.I just ran across your web site today I am hoping that you will be able to give  me some advice.Thank you for your time.

Yes they have the right to turn you down for a firearm permit, It's at their discretion if they find something in your background undesirable.  It may not mean you can't purchase a firearm they just are not giving you the right to carry concealed.
You can try to have the Military over turn your discharge. I don't know how that process goes but I know people who had that done.
