Question
I was a res. of Kansas in 1984 and was convicted of a class e felony for forgery and got it expunged in 1995. I am a avid hunter and sec/treasure for ducks unlimited I have bought rifles and shotguns through the years and today I was denied the purchase of a shotgun I won at an event. Am I not allowed to own a gun? i dont want to get into trouble. Please help!

Answer
Anyone who was convicted of a felony and regained their rights must first get a firearm permit to own a handgun.  That is done by applying and using your proof of expungement. Assuming your expungement has no restrictions.  Another thing you can do is appeal the decision again using your proof of expungement.
