Question
hi i live in baton rouge LA I WAS CONVICTED IF A CRIME WHEN I WAS 17  HAD 1 YEAR PROBATION FINISH IT IN 6 MON  IM NOW 31 AND HAVE A FAMALIY NEVER BEEN A IN ANY TROBLEL HOW DO I GET MY RIGHTS BACK CAN U HELP ME E-MAIL ME ANY TIME THANK YOU

Answer
If you was 17 when you got convicted then you should have been a youthful offender.  You don't lose your rights under the youthful offender laws.  Now if you was convicted as an adlt then you must apply and receive full restoration of rights in LA.  Each state has it's own process, therefore you must return to either the courts or your former probation Dept. to find out what to do to get full restoration of rights or executive clemency.  Some states may have a Board of Pardons.

Good Luck
