QuestionI was arrested in December of 1985 with 28 grams of cocaine. I was going to meet a friend to let him borrow 365.00 for child support payments. He got in my car and I was surronded by swat and slamed to the ground. They found 28 grams of cocaine under my front seat. I found out years later it was planted when I valet parked my car at a night club on dec 7th 1985 from a former police officer who informed me who the C.I. was. I was arrested and charged with trafficing, delivery, and possission. In court the amount grew to 87.5 grams I was sentenced to 3.5 years. I did not do this I want full rights back to own a gun. I will never admit to a crime I did not do I'm running out of space but there is alot more to this story. The state is Florida can you help. It has been almost 25 years. My rights have been restored except for owning a gun. My record is spotless.
AnswerI can't get into all the arrest issues you need a lawyer for that but as far a firearms are concerned you need to file for firearm restoration of rights at the Florida executive clemency board. It's a different application than the one you filed previously but you can download it online. If you can't find it call them and request for it to be mailed to you.
Good Luck
