2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/Felony gun

Question
My nephew was convicted of a felony and is under the impression he can live in a house where guns are as long as they are registered.

Answer
No, he can't. He is not allowed to own or be around any firearms.  If for some reason your house is searched or if he is on Probation/Parole and your house is searched he can be charged with possession and the weapons will be taken.  I heard so many cases like that.  There was a case where a Federal Parolee was living with his girlfriend she purchased a firearm legally and the next day ATF was knocking at the door with a warrant.  He was re-arrested and the firearms were taken never returned.

What he can do is get full restoration of rights and he will be cleared to own firearms aain if he can get a firearm permit.

Good Luck
