ITS BEEN ABOUT 7 YEARS SINCE MY FELONY. I HAVE BEEN WORKING EVER SINCE AND HAVE STARTED A FAMILY. I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST A RESTORATION OF RIGHTS FROM THE STATE OF OHIO. I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO PROTECT MY FAMILY IF NEED BE. WHAT STEP DO I NEED TO TAKE TO APPLY FOR THE RESTORATOION OF RIGHTS TO CARRY FIRE ARMS?

Answer
You will have to return to the court where you was convicted and request the information for FULL restoration of rights.  Every state have a different process some have executive clemency boards, some go through the division of Parole/Probation, some have Board of Pardons and rehabilitation.  The process is all basically the same though.
