2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/Reinstating gun rights

Question
In 1996 I was convicted of several counts of grand larceny and several counts of breaking and entering.  I would like to know how to go about reinstating my gun rights in the state of VA or if its possible since I do have several counts of Assult and Battery also within the last 8 years.  Please advise with a plan of action that I could take or point me in the right direction to start this process.  Thank you

Answer
I really don't think it's possible if you have multiple violent felonies.  But you can start be downloading an application on the Virginia Executive Clemency Board website.  There you would get directions on how to apply and what to do after you receive Executive Clemency in order to continue on to receiving restoration of firearm rights.

Good Luck
