Question
Don,
I live here in Nassau county NY.On 2006 two guys are looking for me in my home to get me arrested of some sort but I wasn't home, I went to the family court and the police handcuffed me and I was really surprised. The judge was charging me of violation of support order but I was there w/ records that I'm paying w/ records of my paycheck. the judge dismissed it due to the records I have that I'm paying my child support BUT the injury has been done to me w/ all those finger printing and stayed on the jail/locked room or so for like one hour. My question is will this arrest deny me for getting a pistol license? and Did I commit a Felony? Please help I thank You!
Jimmy

Answer
You was not convicted this does not hurt anything just answer the questions correctly on the application.  If they ask have you ever been arrested the answer is yes.  If they ask have you ever been convicted the answer for that case is no.

Good Luck
