Question
Hello, I have a question about buying a shotgun in pa. My brother was convicted of a gun misdemeanor in pa 1991, His girl friend had a gun in a car that he was using and he was pulled over. There was a loaded gun under the car seat and my brother didn't know it was their. He served a 1 year probation for a gun misdemeanor. Can he buy a shotgun in pa?

Answer
No, he is restricted under Pa. laws. He must get restoration of rights at the court of common pleas.  If his conviction is 5 years or older he can get a Virginia non-resident firearm permit that has reciprocity in Pa.  If you don't have some sort of firearm training certificate I have an online school just send me your email address and I will send you the link.

Good luck
